I published an article on women’s independent animation and feminized creative labour in the summer 2021 issue of Feminist Media Histories. It’s currently available to read for free on their website here.
I’ve been thinking about the films in this article for years, but didn’t feel ready to say something that brought something to their work, rather than just extract from them. Being a parent in a pandemic somehow clicked things into place. Writing this in the cracks and margins of my days was truly a labour of love.
